National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation: A Conversation and Film Screening
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation comes to Austin for a special evening featuring a conversation with Chevy Chase and a screening of the beloved holiday comedy. The event is scheduled for December 8, 2026, at ACL Live At The Moody Theater. Listed on ticketsinaustin.com in the Other and Film categories, it pairs a chance to revisit a seasonal favorite with an onstage appearance by one of its stars.
First released in 1989, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation follows Clark Griswold as his plans for an ideal family holiday descend into comic chaos. Chevy Chase's performance as Clark helped make the film a recurring seasonal favorite, alongside memorable turns from Beverly D'Angelo, Randy Quaid and the rest of the ensemble. The Austin event's announced lineup includes Chase; no opening act or separate tour name is listed.
Austin's lively arts and entertainment scene makes the city a fitting setting for a shared screening and conversation. ACL Live At The Moody Theater offers an indoor venue for the event, bringing the audience together for the film and Chase's remarks. The listing confirms the date and venue, while specific seating configurations and event timing may be subject to change.
